Scott and Deann Querry are the owners of Solstice Chocolate in Salt Lake City. They make their chocolates from organic cacao beans from totally exotic farms around the world in their solar powered production facility. Yes this is a sustainable culture and you couldn’t meet two nicer human beings.
The best part is they make great chocolate. Like their Madagascar Sambirano bar where they source the beans from Akesson’s like a lot of other chocolate makers but their bar is a unique expression of the origin. It is Madagascar to the nth degree. Each of the single origin chocolates from Solstice would fall into the category of Rock & Roll! They are big bold expressions that will move you.
