Oro Bailen produces Extra Virgin Olive Oil in South Western Spain in the region known as Andalusia.  Located in the foothills of Sierra Morena, between Bailen and Andujar and at 400 meters of elevation the geographic conditions are perfect for raising high quality olives. They are a fairly large operation but their entire focus is on producing quality oils.  You will see on the list of awards they won in 2014 that in terms of quality they have to be considered one of the top 100 producers in the world.

Oro Bailen Selection Reserve

This 100% Picual EVOO is the pride of their production.  The mouth feel is substantial but not as fat as their Arbequina. The flavor profile is intense but incredibly balanced.  Bitterness and spice are moderate and has flavors of fresh herbs and green almond. Pour on anything, steak, grilled bread, vegetables, risotto, chicken, fish. This is one of the world’s great finishing oils.
